Kanam Latex Industries Pvt. Ltd. is India’s leading manufacturer of surgical gloves. Established in 1986, the latex surgical gloves factory has an installed capacity of over 560 million pairs of gloves per year, manufacturing a range of surgical and examination gloves. Besides being the market leader in India, we also export worldwide. Kanam is part of the esteemed Ooppoottil Group, which has a rich legacy in the rubber industry. The group’s journey began with the establishment of Velimalai Rubber Company in 1944, pioneering rubber plantations, and expanded further with Kurian Abraham Pvt. Ltd. in 1955, specializing in the manufacturing of centrifuge latex. This strong foundation has enabled Kanam to become a trusted name in quality gloves production.
Today, Kanam’s gloves are synonymous with the highest standards of quality, enjoying market leadership in India. Additionally, we export globally to destinations including the U.S.A, South and Central America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

1st Surgical glove factory of The Kanam Latex Industries Pvt. Ltd. was commissioned, with a capacity of 4.5 million pairs per annum. The first dip line was installed at the industrial estate.

2nd Factory
The Factory at Peruvilai incorporating advanced technology and higher capacity was commissioned in 1995.
